Whale Of A Time.
Hey ol’ Blue,
you been ‘round th longest -
reckon ya could do us a favour?
Can I park me Ford Laser in ya heart,
or maybe let me elephant rest on ya tongue?
coz, ya see...
Nutha mate - Humpback, got a hunnid thousan’ or so
songs ta lay on me, n they like, go for an hour or so each.
an’ then...
I gotta go see this otha dude - Fin, he can sen’ a message for me,
fifteen thousan’ kilometres, no satellite - nah, no wires either, jus’ talkin’.
An’ there’s these jokers I jus’ havta tell - it ain’t Right ta go ‘round spearin’ folk
in th name o’ scientific tests, you know ‘em, th Japs, n th Norwegians, n their lame
excuses, why, they’re jus’ so much blubber ta guys like you n me. So I ask again, can I
park me little car in ya heart, while I go smack these shitheads ‘round th ears? Try n talk
some sense
inta their tiny little minds.
Martin Downey.
