Daydream receiver

Today looks as good as it did yesterday A nice sunny day A few scattered clouds moving through endless shades of blue Tickling the tops of trees creating a calm breeze To in turn quickly cut through grass blades below I smiled as a colourful nature breathing life from the sun Wonderful Now as I watch sunlight sink below the earth My eye catches sight of a rare star birth Then I’m dazzled by the bright colours reflected from you Beauty I see, my senses infected A small raindrop word “hi” falls from your lips When I reply, I can’t seem to stop You stand and smile, then I run out of breath So I pause to inhale, but can’t under your eye When you start speaking again I notice your hand next to your head I watch as you leave with your mobile phone I check mine Batteries dead.
