mary-jane
It’s called ‘The Tree Of Life’
down ol’ Jamaicee way
but mary-jane ain’t so sweet
On the streets, on the streets of the worl’
from Pakistan to Amsterdam
it’s called ‘The Tree Of Life’
Artisans throughout the Ages
imbibed to unlock their Muse
but mary-jane ain’t so sweet
As scoob, doob, joint or spliff
will help to spread disease
it’s called ‘The Tree Of Life’
Ticket to a higher plane
inhale, hold deep, chill out & mellow
but mary-jane ain’t so sweet
The soft drug, the soft one
will still suck you in
it’s called ‘The Tree Of Life’
but mary-jane ain’t so sweet.
